Drew has over 15 years of field experience as a laborer with the past 6 years spent working in excavations. He was hired by the Iowa Laborers' Education and Training Fund as an instructor in the spring of 2022. During his 15+ years of experience, he working on both private and civil underground projects ranging from subdivision work, lead abatement, and larger projects for the University of Iowa and the City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Drew has worked as an inspector for the Iowa Heavy Highway Labor Management Preservation Fund. He believes the responsibility of working safely underground is essential for both the employer and employee.
